At Maycer Dental in La Mesa, we’re bringing more of your dental care into our office with digital scanning and SprintRay 3D printing. This technology allows us to create custom mouthguards for clenching and grinding, smile design mockups, and dental models in-house, with a workflow designed around your individual needs.
How Digital Scanning and SprintRay Work Together
A small handheld intraoral scanner captures detailed images of your teeth and bite, creating a three-dimensional digital model of your mouth. For many treatments, this replaces the traditional tray filled with impression material.
We use that digital model to plan and design your appliance or smile mockup. Our SprintRay 3D printer then produces the physical piece using materials selected for its intended dental use. After printing, our team completes the necessary cleaning, curing, finishing, and clinical checks.
The scan captures your smile. The printer helps turn that information into personalized care.
