At what age should I start bringing my children?

At Maycer Dental, we're your 'One-Stop' shop for all your family's dental needs. We recommend parents bring their toddlers along during their own appointments. When your little ones see how comfortable Mom and Dad are, it sets the stage for a lifetime of positive dental experiences. For most families, we suggest starting regular checkups for children between eighteen months and two years of age. We're here to make every dental visit a positive and enjoyable experience for your entire family.

What can I expect to pay at my first appointment?

Every patient is unique, and so is their first appointment. In most cases, insurance covers a significant portion, if not all, of the cost for new patient exams and x-rays. If not, don’t worry. We've got you covered with a comprehensive package for your first visit, including a New Patient Exam, any necessary x-rays, and even a dental cleaning, all for a special price of $120. For Invisalign, Cosmetic, or Implant consultations, we have some good news for you! We provide a complimentary exam at absolutely no charge to you. Your peace of mind is our priority, and we're here to ensure you receive the information you need without any additional cost.

I don't have any problems with my teeth. Do I still need to see the dentist?

Even if your teeth seem A-OK, it's fantastic! Yet, the early signs of tooth decay and gum disease can be elusive. For a tip-top smile, we suggest scheduling bi-annual cleanings and annual exams. This way, we can catch any potential issues early on, ensuring your smile stays healthy and happy. Remember, a little proactive care goes a long way!

I've noticed some symptoms. Would it be advisable for me to schedule a checkup?

If you're experiencing any of these symptoms, don't hesitate to drop by or schedule a same-day appointment with us:

  • Swollen or bleeding gums
  • Toothache
  • Chronic bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth
  • Swollen jaw or neck
  • Chipped, damaged, or lost tooth
  • Missing filling or crown
  • Nerve pain
  • Extremely sensitive teeth

Even if the same day is not convenient, book a checkup with us as soon as your schedule allows. Early attention to symptoms like toothaches and bleeding gums is crucial in preventing issues like cavities and gingivitis and keeping your smile healthy. In case of a dental emergency, we're always prepared to provide urgent care and help you get back to smiling again.

Here's some good news – we've got an emergency dental package for you! It includes an emergency exam and any necessary X-rays, all for just $45. Your peace of mind is our priority, and we're here to make urgent dental care affordable and accessible.

How can I pay for my treatment? Are there different payment options available?

Maycer Dental, we want to make sure your care fits your needs and budget. We offer various payment options for any uninsured portions of your treatment. Whether you prefer using major credit cards, need a payment plan, or want to phase extensive treatments to make the most of your insurance benefits, we're here for you. What's the best way to take care of my teeth at home?

To keep that radiant smile of yours, try these Maycer Dental and American Dental Association-approved tips for your at-home oral care routine:

  • Brush twice a day with fluoridated toothpaste and make flossing a daily habit. Don't forget to give your tongue a brush too!
  • Change your toothbrush every few months or when the bristles start to wear out.
  • Maintain a healthy, balanced diet, and steer clear of sugary foods when you can – your teeth will appreciate it!
  • Combat bad breath and safeguard your enamel by mixing 2 tsp of baking soda into a cup of water and using it as mouthwash once or twice a day.

Depending on your dental health, we may recommend a more tailored home care routine or provide you with specialized products. Consistent care at home is key to great oral health, and at Maycer Dental, we're here to give you all the tools and knowledge you need for a bright, happy smile outside our office.
